In recent years, the planning system has become more complex, with local planning authorities requiring ever increasing amounts of information before applications can even be registered. This can be extremely frustrating for private individuals, many of whom will be encountering the planning system for the first time.
My background in practical farming and land management, coupled with many years practising as a planning consultant, allows me to provide a personal and flexible service, focused on the needs and objectives of our clients, but tempered by planning policy and guidance. At all times, we aim to provide clear and realistic advice on the likely timescale and costs of applications, with a clear indication given of likelihood of success.
I have also been fortunate to work for the last 25 years within an area designated as Green Belt, and situated on the edge of areas designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This has provided considerable experience in dealing with planning issues in these particularly sensitive areas.
